You will fish aboard the classic 28 foot Tiara Open, which is designed for the big waters of Lake Michigan. This boat is powered by reliable twin Crusader inboards. Both engines where replaced with brand new fuel injected Crusaders. One in 2017 and the other in 2018. Each has 320 horsepower, which makes this boat over powered to get through conditions on Lake Michigan and still allows the Silver King to keep fuel cost down, so when fuel prices rise during the summer the price you pay will not. This boat is the ultimate fishing weapon for trolling Lake Michigan salmon and trout. The 10 foot 6 inch beam, built in keel on the hull and placement of the engines gives this boat excellent stability while trolling. The Tiara Open is a spacious boat and has a fully enclosed head. This boat is fully rigged with the most up to date fishing, electronic and safety equipment. There is no better designed boat for targeting Lake Michigan salmon period.

Captains Kurt and Willy along with the Silver King's first mates Andy, Chris, and Matt with the big trophy. We won the 2010 PFC Geoffrey Morris Memorial Governors Cup Fishing Invitational out of Winthrop, Illinois for $15,000 and took 5th place in 2011. FIRST PLACE in the biggest contest on the western shores of Lake Michigan for payout. Silver King Charters boats also took SECOND AND TENTH PLACES out of 115 boats in the largest single-day tournament the 2010 Brew City Salmon Tournament out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and 3rd place in 2011. We also finished 2nd place 2010 and 9th place in 2011 Salmon Unlimited Opener in Racine, WI. For the combined scores of the Southwest Lake Michigan Salmon Series Challenge of all 6 tournaments, we finished 2nd in 2010 and 6th in 2011.
