Wisconsin Charter Fishing Spring Coho Salmon
Wisconsin charter fishing for Coho salmon on Lake Michigan is always a big event. When the Coho start biting spring has officially sprung. The Coho bite can start down south of the state line or across the lake on the Michigan side but eventually it all ends up on the western shores of Lake Michigan. We will start to catch Coho early in April but it is not until May that large schools show up and we start catching them in volume. Coho salmon are a great tasting fish, with bright orange fillets. When we come across a school we commonly get several hits at once and that is when the fishing gets fun. The best Coho salmon bite will occur in May and June, although we can see action as early as April. This picture shows a group that limited out on Coho salmon right outside the north gap of the Milwaukee harbor. Call Silver King Charters to get in on spring Coho salmon fishing.
