Wisconsin Charter Fishing
Wisconsin Charter Fishing on Lake Michigan has gotten off to a fast start in 2012. It is only April and Silver King Charters is landed nice size Chinook salmon on every trip. We have boated over 25 Chinook in April and we did not reach that number until early June last year. Stocking was up for this season and it shows. The Coho salmon are starting to show up in numbers too. On this trip we worked 200 feet of water, while Racine charter fishing. This has been the hot spot but we look to be fishing very close to shore this week, with warmer weather on the way.
Chris and his group had a fun time landing 22 fish in cold and rough conditions. It was a mixed bag of Chinook, Coho and one Rainbow. The action was down deep or right on the surface. The Chinooks came off the riggers and Coho salmon off the orange dodger and peanut fly fished near the surface. It will not be long until Coho salmon will make up most of the catch.
