Wisconsin Charter Fishing
Wisconsin charter fishing on Lake Michigan saw many below average temperature days for the last two weeks of April in 2012. This picture is from our last trip for the month and when we left for this trip it was only 39 degrees out. It did warm up to 50 degrees at the end of the trip but it was a chilly one. Chris and his crew were real champs out there and ended up catching 22 fish. Chris is holding a really nice Chinook salmon that he caught off a downrigger set 120 feet down off a rigger while fishing in 200 feet of water. they ended up with 7 Chinooks, including a nice 18 pound fish. There was also a real nice 9 pound Steelhead landed off a board line.
Racine charter fishing has been very good over these last two weeks but we are looking forward to warm temperatures and the first week of May will already be in the upper 60's and the Silver King Charter crew cannot wait. The fishing kept Chris's crew warm though with only one slow period. We hope to see them back during the summer in shorts and t-shirts.
