Racine Charter Fishing
Wisconsin charter fishing on Lake Michigan is in its last days for April of 2012 and the weather felt like March. We had an excellent April and know that May will be red hot as always for Coho salmon fishing. But today it was chilly and only got to 45 degrees but we were in luck because are crew was from Finland! We have had many customers from Europe but Finland was a first for us. They were an excellent crew. Father Peemu along with his son and a friend battle the cold and managed to catch some really nice fish. They caught everything but a Brown trout and a couple really nice King salmon were in the mix.
Our hot spot charter fishing Racine this April has been in 180 to 220 feet of water but the fishing slowed a little today probably due to the weather. Fish came from the surface all the way down 140 feet of downriggers. There was no true hot bait but we primarily ran flasher and fly combinations.
Trips like these are fun because you get to share information from a different culture and as usual we find European's to be very polite and fun. Finland was no exception. It was nice meeting Peemu, your family and friends. Silver King Charters hopes to see you again and wishes you all the best.
