Milwaukee Charter Fishing Coho Salmon
When the Coho salmon bite set up it leads to some of the best Milwaukee charter fishing of the year. This bite can start as early as the beginning of April of as late as Memorial Day but when it goes it can lead to limit catches of Coho salmon. The action can be offshore starting 8 miles out or in 10 to 15 feet of water and anywhere in between. One of our favorite places to fish Coho salmon is off the gaps of the Milwaukee harbor or when we are Racine charter fishing right in front of the Root river. These areas attracted large schools of bait and when the fish find it they bite real good. This picture was actually taken inside the harbor where the Milwaukee, Menomonie and Kinickinic rivers meet just past the Hoan bridge. They caught their limit of Coho salmon in a couple of hours.
