Milwaukee Charter Fishing Offshore
When we talk about offshore fishing we mean that we are more than 5 miles from the shoreline and over 150 feet of water. But for us offshore really means a 7 mile run from the shore and setting up in over 200 feet of water. At time this means we will be in 300 feet of water fishing. We never know where we will need to fish to catch fish on a day to day basis but usually we will have an idea where to start from the last couple of days fished. Most of our trips are five miles or less from the shoreline. When we have to go out deep it leads to a mixed bag of species. Lake trout, Rainbow trout, Coho salmon and Chinook salmon can all be caught out deep. Only Brown trout are not found offshore or if they are it is very rare. When the fish set up out deep it can stay productive for a while because the water is more stable. We do not care about burning gas to get to fish but when we do need to make longer runs you can usually add an extra hour to the trip for $100. Our standard five hour trip will have less fishing time due to the run time but we wouldn't do it if we felt there was a better bite closer. Call Silver King Charters to catch salmon and trout on Lake Michigan. We will run the extra mile to get to the fish. This picture shows a nice mixed bag of salmon and trout.
