Jason & John hold a well deserved catch after Milwaukee Charter Fishing on Silver King Charters

When they showed up I was willing to reschedule the trip because of a strong northeast wind causing 6 foot waves on Lake Michigan. The boat and crew can handle these waters but I usually don't subject clients to this rough of seas.

                        When Lake Michigan starts to get waves over 4 feet we will leave it up to the customer if they want to reschedule without loosing their security deposit. If the waves are at 6 feet or more we will reschedule or you can have your security deposit back. Silver King Charters will fish in 6 foot seas but if we believe it will get worse the trip will be cancelled. It is not fun to fish on Lake Michigan when it is that rough. John is from Florida and has seen much bigger waves. We started out on the trip and it took an extra 20 minutes to motor to were the fish were. I decided to roll with the waves so it would be easier to fight fish.

                       After four tough hours of fishing we boated 4 fish and lost 3. It was a tough trip and the day before the wind switched we took 15 fish in 3 hours. What a difference a day makes. All fish came off flies and doggers. Two came on the downriggers and two on the dipsy diver rods. The fish were few but 3 were 12 pounds or bigger. Over the last 3 season and 170 trips we have only been in 5 to 6 foot seas 17 times and always caught fish.
